Over the past five years, Madrid has experienced an unprecedented real estate boom and robust economic growth. NEPROM, the Dutch association of real estate developers, invited 40 directors of its member organizations to visit Madrid to explore the Madrid models for its members. NADC provided them with a program that included visits to innovative and high profile projects highlighting pro-growth policies and redevelopment opportunities.

Amsterdam's newly elected commissioner of urban development visited Madrid with 50 of its deputies, advisors and private partners to gain insight into Madrid's successful growth policies. NADC organized an excursion including an official meeting with industry leaders leading into a brainstorm session about the future development of Amsterdam. Among the highlights of the program was a conference with Madrid's commissioners for urban development, economy and infrastructure.

During the annual Summercourse of the Amsterdam School of Real Estate in New York, NADC gave a keynote on current real estate developments in New York City. From the history and geography of New Amsterdam in the 17th century to current major (re)development projects in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island. Lower Manhattan, Fulton Street Transit Center, Westside Manhattan, Moynihan Station, new subway access and new baseball stadiums of Yankees and Mets. At the end of the Summercourse, Ad Hereijgers participated in a jury of the project presentations of the participants, all real estate professionals from The Netherlands. Amsterdam School of Real Estate has an academic exchange with New York University.

In 2004 NADC hosted a professional tour for Het Oosten, a Amsterdam based not for profit housing association and it’s for profit development affiliate Kristal. Het Oosten/Kristal visited several New York based development firms and organizations. A variety of projects were on the program: Time Warner Center, Meatpacking District, Long Island City, DUMBO, Brooklyn and Jersey Waterfronts. NADC also hosted a one-day workshop with the developer of a adaptive re-use of 1 mln. SF warehouse building in Jersey City.
